What makes the world cup so great? With the world cup coming does it trigger any emotions from past ones that you participated in? Will you be there in Germany or at home watching?
A1 – The three tops teams are Germany, USA, and Brazil. The world cup is so great because it brings together not only the best teams and best players in the world, but it allows all of us to see the best of the cultures and traditions of all the countries competing. It does bring back some great memories. The tournament, the teams, my teammates, and the opportunity to represent my country at the highest level. I will be both in Germany and at home during the duration of the tournament.
Q2 – What do you think of the state of the women’s game?
A2 – I think the women’s game continues to grow and develop. In this world cup you have two countries that are first time qualifiers which is fantastic. This said, I believe we can always be doing more to insure that the present and future players continue to have an environment to improve and display their skills.
Q3 – What do you think about Kristine lilly having Kristine lilly day in boston and her jersey retired for the breakers?
A3 – I think it’s fantastic! She has been a pioneer of the game and a role model for all of us who play and love the game . I know how much pride she had playing for the Breakers and think it is only fitting that they retire her number. She probably hopes to get a lifetime parking exemption in the city as well.
